Guinea — Fibreglass Formwork Manufacture and Export for Albayrak İnşaat
In brief
The fibreglass formwork required for the Albayrak İnşaat project in Guinea was produced in the Zahan İnşaat workshop in 2022 and shipped by sea. The formwork parts were numbered in assembly order, labelled and packed so as to take no surface damage in transit.

Sending formwork to a Turkish contractor’s site in Africa takes more than producing the formwork. If a part turns out to be missing on site, replacing it takes weeks; so the set has to go out complete, and the crew there has to see at a glance which part belongs where.
We prepared the formwork for Albayrak İnşaat’s Guinea project on that principle: every part numbered, labelled and packed in assembly order.
Packing for export
Sea freight is a hard environment for formwork: damp, salt and movement inside the container. The packing is designed against all three.
- Gel-coated faces are protected with film and foam; shells never touch one another.
- Every part is given a permanent label matching the number on the assembly drawing.
- Heavy steel-framed parts are fixed to pallets so they cannot shift in the container.
- Consumables — bolts, nuts and release agent — are sent with spares.
Working with contractors
Working with main contractors, we know the delivery date is tied to the shipping window. Miss the sailing and there is a crew waiting on site. The production programme is therefore built around the vessel, not the other way round.

Do you produce formwork in volume for contractors?
Yes. We produce formwork for main contractors on projects at home and abroad. We work up the model from drawings or reference images, produce the negative mould and deliver it with an assembly drawing.
Do you ship to Africa and the Middle East?
We do. We have sent complete formwork sets to Guinea and Kosovo. We show freight as a separate line in the tender, so the client sees the logistics cost clearly and can use their own forwarder if they prefer.
